Fire and smoke curtains

Fire protection curtains are sealing openings in walls and ceilings in case of fire. The constructional set-up (rolling- or folding technology) and the use of different fabrics offer a wide application spectrum as well as different protection targets or classifications and time classes.

Casings and side guides of those flexible applicable systems are integrated almost invisible in the building and provide much scope for design of sophisticated architecture for opened designs.

Fibershield®-I EI₂60-C

The Fibershield®-I system is the latest generation of thermally insulated textile fire protection gates by Stöbich.

The closure has the winding kinematics of a rolling gate and requires little construction space above a wall opening. Also, due to the patented lintel lock, the panels around the winding shaft can be dispensed with as an option. This enables the installation dimensions to be further reduced.

The multi-layer design of the fire protection curtain comprising alternating layers of insulating and cooling material allows the sparing use of the textiles and a reduction of the weight compared to conventional models. Due to the low weight and construction space, the Fibershield®-I EI₂60-C fire curtain is also ideal for modifying or refitting fire protection elements in existing buildings.

Fibershield®-E

The economical textile fire protection closure with the highest level of standardisation.

Fibershield®-HC

The textile horizontal fire protection closure without disturbing supporting or tensioning ropes.

The new generation of horizontal textile fire protection curtains - without supporting and tensioning cables! Fibershield-HC was specially developed as a closure system for large ceiling openings up to 10 x 10 m. The curtain with the additionally reinforced Heliotex EW 120 is positioned in a space-saving casing that forms a closed unit together with the closure rail. A two-part variant in the size 10 x 20 m with centrally locking closure rails is planned. This system will be able to close large openings in ceilings very easily.

A smoke curtain is a part of an unit keeping areas free from smoke and may include building parts like natural smoke and heat venting systems (EN 12101-2) and automatic smoke and heat venting systems (EN 12101-3). Smoke curtains restrict thereby the movement of fire gases inside a building in case of fire.

Supercoil

The traditional automatic smoke curtain to match highest demands and large dimensions.

Supercoil stands out thanks to its flexibility when implementing made-to-measure solutions. The smoke curtains are made of one piece of material that is up to 50 m in width and an unrolled length of 9.5 m, and is designed for high time classes at temperature loads up to 600 0C (D) and 1,100°C (ETK curve - DH). When using guide rails, 0% leaks can be realised across the entire smoke curtain. The curtain is closed without any external energy with a 'Gravigen' drive motor. Supercoil is also suitable as a floor-closing and space-creating smoke curtain, and can be equipped with an opening to allow persons to pass. Also, the clever construction allows it to be combined with the passable Stripecoil smoke curtain.

Stripecoil

The passable smoke barrier, but still ground-closing.

Stripecoil is the optimum smoke protection for personal passage areas and in escape routes - designed for the temperature classes D = 600 0C (for 120 min) and DH (ETK curve, for 30 min). Even at a width of 3 m, the passage will allow around 200 persons (even with strollers and wheelchairs) to to pass per minute. The translucent fabric of the curtain ensures optimum light and visions conditions in passage areas. A soft and yielding closing edge also helps to minimise the risk of injury. The smoke curtain closes without any external energy with a 'Gravigen' drive motor.
